NxtLvL is a website where athletes build verified profiles with their stats, photos, and videos, and where coaches, scouts, counselors, teams, and fans find and follow them. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and NxtLvL ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using NxtLvL, you agree to these Terms and to our End User License Agreement. If you don't agree, don't use NxtLvL.
2. Who can use NxtLvL
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read these Terms and agree to them for you. By signing up, you confirm they have. Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's use of NxtLvL.
If you are 14 or 15, you can't sign up on your own. Your parent or legal guardian must sign up with you: they give their name, email, and relationship to you, a photo of their government ID, and their electronic signature (typing their full name), and they agree to control and supervise your account. Until a NxtLvL admin has checked their ID, the account can only browse: it can't post, comment, like, save, follow, message, or ask to be verified. Their ID is only seen by admins and is deleted once checked.
If you sign up as a team, club, league, or other organization, you confirm you are allowed to act for it, and it is bound by these Terms.
You may not use NxtLvL if we have removed you before, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.
3. Your account
Give us true, current information, including your real name, date of birth, and the role that describes you (athlete, coach, scout, counselor, team, or fan). Your role is set when you sign up; to change it, send a request from your account page for an admin to review.
One account per person or organization. Your username must be your own and must not pretend to be someone else.
Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
Your date of birth and gender stay private. Athlete pages show your age, never your birthday.
4. Verification
Athletes verify their identity (for example by linking an EliteProspects profile and sending a photo of an ID) and send proof of their stats. An admin reviews them before a profile appears on the Athletes page.
Coaches, scouts, counselors, and teams send documents showing their certification, license, or that their organization is real and sanctioned. An admin reviews them before they get a ✓ Verified badge.
ID photos and proof documents can only be seen by NxtLvL admins and are deleted once a decision is made.
Only send documents that are yours and true. Sending fake or altered documents or stats will get your account removed.
A ✓ Verified badge means we checked the documents we were sent. It is not an endorsement, a background check, or a promise about anyone's skill, character, or qualifications. We can remove a badge at any time.
5. What you post
"Your content" means everything you add to NxtLvL: photos, videos, titles, captions, tags, comments, messages, bios, notes, team and athlete lists, schedules, and profile pictures.
You own your content. You give NxtLvL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process (for example converting videos, cropping, trimming, and making preview images), display, and share it on NxtLvL, so the site can work. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that others already shared or saved.
Public means public. Athlete profiles, public profiles, posts, comments, likes, view counts, Info tabs, and schedule files can be seen by anyone, including people without an account and search engines.
You need the rights to what you post. That includes music in videos, photos taken by others, and permission from the people shown in it. Don't post images or video of a minor without permission from their parent or guardian.
You are responsible for your content. We don't check everything before it's posted, but we may review, hide, or remove anything that breaks these Terms.
6. Community rules
Don't use NxtLvL to:
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone, or post hate speech or slurs.
Post sexual content of any kind. Any sexual content involving a minor is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.
Post violent, graphic, or illegal content, or promote drugs, gambling, or self-harm.
Lie about who you are, your age, your stats, or your credentials, or pretend to be another person, team, or organization.
Share someone else's private information (address, phone number, school schedule, and the like) without their permission.
Spam, advertise without permission, or run scams, contests, or fundraising schemes.
Post links if you're an athlete or a fan (links are only allowed for coaches, scouts, counselors, and teams), or post links to harmful or misleading sites.
Break the rules of your league, school, or governing body (for example, recruiting or eligibility rules). Following those rules is your responsibility.
Many athletes on NxtLvL are minors. Coaches, scouts, counselors, teams, and anyone else who contacts an athlete under 18 must:
Keep every message professional and about sports, school, or the athlete's development.
Follow the safeguarding rules that apply to them (for example U.S. Center for SafeSport policies and their own organization's rules), including involving a parent or guardian where those rules require it.
Never ask a minor for private photos, to meet alone, to move the conversation somewhere hidden, or to keep it secret from their parents.
Athletes and parents: if anything feels wrong, report the conversation from Messages and tell a trusted adult. If someone is in danger, call 911.
8. Messaging
Only verified members can send messages. Swear words and slurs are hidden automatically.
Messages can't be edited or deleted once sent, so there is an honest record.
When a conversation is reported, NxtLvL admins can read all of it to decide what to do.
9. Reports and enforcement
You can report posts, comments, and conversations. Admins review reports. If we believe someone broke these Terms or the law, or put others at risk, we may remove content, take away a verified badge, limit features, suspend or delete the account, and, where appropriate, contact parents, schools, leagues, or law enforcement. We may do this without notice, and we aren't required to act on every report.
10. Stats, profiles, and recruiting
Stats and profile details come from members. We review proof before stats are published, but we can't guarantee they are complete or correct. Check anything important yourself.
NxtLvL is not a recruiting agency, sports agent, or school, and does not represent anyone. We don't promise exposure, offers, scholarships, roster spots, or results.
Coaches, scouts, counselors, and teams on NxtLvL act for themselves, not for NxtLvL, and are not our employees or agents. Any agreement you make with them is between you and them.
11. Your information
Here is what NxtLvL keeps and why:
Account details: your name, email, username, role, sports, date of birth, gender, and settings, so your account works. Your email, birthday, and gender are never shown publicly.
What you share: profiles, stats, posts, comments, likes, favorites, follows, messages, Info, and schedules, so others can see and use them as described above.
Verification documents: ID photos, stat proof, credential documents, and a parent's or guardian's ID (members under 16), seen only by admins and deleted after a decision.
Parent or guardian details (members under 16): their name, email, relationship, and e-signature, kept with the account so we know who supervises it.
Activity: view counts on posts and athlete pages, and which posts you've already seen (kept in your browser), so we can show counts and better suggestions.
Your agreement: the date you accepted these Terms and the End User License Agreement.
NxtLvL runs on Google Firebase, which stores this information for us. We don't sell your information and don't share it with advertisers. We share it only as needed to run the site, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
You can change most of your information on your account page. Deleting your account (Account → Settings) removes your account details, public profile, posts, profile picture, favorites, Info, and schedules. Messages you sent stay in the other person's conversation, and comments you left on others' posts may remain unless you delete them first.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on NxtLvL uses your copyrighted work without permission, contact us (see Contact) with: a description of your work, the link to the content on NxtLvL, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the owner, and your signature. We'll remove content that infringes and may remove accounts that do it repeatedly.
13. Other sites and services
NxtLvL links to other sites, such as EliteProspects and links members add. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them; their own terms apply.
14. Fees
NxtLvL is free. If we ever add paid features, we'll tell you the price and terms first, and you'll only pay if you choose them.
15. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or end your account as described in Reports and enforcement, or if we stop running NxtLvL. Sections 5 (the parts about responsibility), 10, 16, and 17 still apply after your account ends.
16. Disclaimers and limits of liability
NxtLvL is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will always be available, error-free, or secure, or that information on it is accurate. You use NxtLvL, and deal with other members, at your own risk.
To the fullest extent the law allows, NxtLvL and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, data, or profits, arising from NxtLvL or other members' conduct or content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
You agree to cover NxtLvL's costs (including reasonable legal fees) for claims that arise from your content, your use of NxtLvL, or your breaking these Terms or the law.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you and NxtLvL agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to later. These Terms and the End User License Agreement are the whole agreement between you and NxtLvL about using the site.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as NxtLvL changes. We'll change the effective date above and, for important changes, tell you on the site or by email and may ask you to agree again. If you keep using NxtLvL after changes take effect, you accept them.
